Practice San Francisco , a well-established and growing family-focused therapy and wellness center with locations in San Francisco and Mill Valley, is accepting applications for a pre-licensed associate therapist position (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) for a September 2024 start.
We are a collaborative and connected group private practice that offers in-depth training in evidence-based behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, ACT, and mindfulness-based interventions for anxiety, mood, and emotion regulation with children, teens, young adults, and parents. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment and seeks to hire clinicians that represent and reflect our diverse Bay Area community. We warmly welcome applications from clinicians of color, all genders, bilingual/bicultural clinicians, LGBTQ+ clinicians, and neurodivergent clinicians.
We see children and teens as being part of a family system, with systemic change a necessary component of individual change-- so we integrate parents/families into treatment and partner closely with schools and pediatric providers. Our individual therapeutic services are embedded in a larger matrix of workshops, classes, and events that offer a variety of opportunities for families to build community and access/practice skills related to emotional well-being (and opportunities for associates to build skills around group facilitation and program development!). We also have a thriving business to business program delivering services to local school and corporate partners; associates also may have the opportunity to become involved in these partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
Completion of registration as an associate with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences is required by official start date; candidates already having completed one year of supervised post-degree experience as an associate are strongly preferred. Previous experience in working with children, tweens, or teens in clinical settings required, and previous exposure to/experience with one or more evidence-based treatment strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and/or acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) strongly preferred.
This position will be primarily based in our Mill Valley location, with one day per week in our San Francisco (Cow Hollow) location; applicants must have transportation and be able to work out of either location.
This is a full-time position, competitively compensated by salary (range dependent on experience, $52,000 - $66,560, with additional bonuses tied to exceeding base billing expectations), with six weeks paid time off (2 weeks flexible paid vacation, 9 days paid sick leave, and ten paid holidays). Additional benefits include 401k with employer match, and employer-sponsored health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to become full-time members of our clinical team post-licensure, with significant increases in both compensation and autonomy as well as additional opportunities for mentorship and career development. Our ideal candidate is looking to be part of a team long-term.
Interested applicants can send a cover letter, CV, and three professional references to us at hello@practicesanfrancisco.com . Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
