About The Role

As the Commons Clinic Manager, you will oversee operations at our clinics ensuring efficiency and top-notch services. Responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, staffing, and continuous process improvement. Collaborate closely with physicians to optimize clinical and operational effectiveness, including areas like x-ray, physical therapy, and clinical operations. 

The Clinic Manager is a vital leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a multi-physician clinic specializing in spine and orthopedic services. This role involves managing a diverse team of licensed professionals, ensuring high standards of patient care, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Clinic Manager will be accountable for monitoring and managing metrics related to daily healthcare operations, optimizing processes, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

What You Will Do

  • Operational Management 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Manage patient scheduling, billing, collections, and other administrative functions.
  • Implement and monitor policies and procedures to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant working environment
  • Coordinate and manage resources to optimize clinic operations. 
  • Team Management
  • Directly manage a team of physicians, mid level providers, healthcare professionals, and front desk staff
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional growth and development
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to staff
  • Ensure effective communication and teamwork amount clinic staff
  • Direct staff to manage daily clinic operations, including staff scheduling, training, and performance
  • Oversee and approve leave requests for staff and providers
  • Lead clinic staff and provider meetings 
  • Metrics and Performance Management
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to clinic operations
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinic performance and patient outcomes
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of operational metrics
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed 
  • Participate in strategic planning and goal setting for quality measures, patient satisfaction, financial results, staff development, and provider retention/satisfaction 
  • Quality and Compliance 
  • Ensure the clinic meets all regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Oversee the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and service excellence
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards
  • Promote process improvement and compliance with QA team
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance and confidentiality agreements
  • Financial Management
  • Assist in the development and management of the clinic’s annual budget
  • Monitor and analyze the clinics financial performance, including revenue and expenses
  • Identify and implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce cost without compromising quality
  • Manage supplies, equipment, and staffing budgets
  • Staff Recruitment and Development
  • Recruit staff in conjunction with HR and conduct performance reviews
  • Engage in coaching, performance development, and coordinate disciplinary processes with HR
  • Manage patient complaints and ensure effective service recovery

Qualifications 
  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business administration, or a related field. Experience in clinic management will be taken into consideration of Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in clinic management, with a focus on orthopedics
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS guidelines
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with a track record of managing and developing a high-performing team
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and Google Suite
  • Experience with electronic health records (DrChrono)
  • Exceptional communication and problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of orthopedic clinic operations, including scheduling, billing and medical coding

Estimate compensation range

Base Salary Range: $95,000- $110,000 a year

The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: work experience, market data, and geographic location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
