Job Description

Lakeshore Talent is currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our client in delivering high-quality daytime care services for older adults at a non-residential wellness center in [City, CA area] . This is a direct-hire opportunity ideal for someone passionate about elder care in a structured, team-oriented setting.

Position Details:

  • Location: Los Angeles, California
  • Pay: $19.23 – $26.92 per hour (includes mileage reimbursement when applicable)
  • Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday (with flexibility for occasional rotation or transportation assistance)

Scope of Work & Responsibilities:

The CNA in this setting plays a key role in providing day-to-day support with personal care and group-based services for participants in a daytime adult care program.

  • Assist individuals with hygiene-related tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, eating, and restroom use
  • Implement daily care tasks as outlined in each individual’s plan and record all services appropriately
  • Monitor and report any changes in participants’ well-being, including vital signs, appetite, mobility, and skin health
  • Provide supportive care such as mobility assistance, transferring, repositioning, oxygen handling, and catheter maintenance
  • Assist with mealtime support and help participants with eating as needed
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care
  • Support participant transport by helping with boarding/deboarding and occasionally accompanying them during transit
  • May be assigned to provide similar support in participants’ homes if the need arises
  • Participate in group and one-on-one activities when appropriate, based on a scheduled calendar
  • Attend mandatory in-service training and meet the minimum annual education hours
  • Maintain compliance with all required documentation and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Active and valid CNA certification issued by the state of California
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (must be through American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record (if required for transport or in-home service rotation)
  • Minimum one year of experience working with older adults or individuals with complex care needs
  • Familiarity with electronic health systems (experience with Epic is a plus)

Onboarding Requirements:

  • Valid CNA license (CA)
  • CPR/BLS and First Aid Certification (AHA or Red Cross only)
  • Primary Source Verification (as needed for licensure validation)

  • 4-panel drug screen
  • Flu vaccine (seasonal; declination requires mask use)
