As a Senior Accountant, you will be an integral part of our dynamic finance team. This role is designed for an experienced professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for detail. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including financial reporting, accounting, HR, payroll, account reconciliation, auditing, cost accounting, and cash flow projections. You will also have the opportunity to work on unique projects related to the agriculture and winery/wine industry. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
2. Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
3. Oversee and ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry for Payroll processing.
4. Conduct regular account reconciliation and auditing, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
5. Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set-up of the financial operation.
6. Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of financial systems and processes.
7. Work on special projects related to the agriculture and winery/wine industry.
8. Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, preparing reports and projections based on this analysis.
9. Collaborate with HR to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in financial reporting, accounting, HR, payroll, account reconciliation, auditing, and cost accounting.
4. Experience in the agriculture and winery/wine industry is a plus.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
7. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Demonstrated leadership abilities and teamwork skills.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
