Job Description

About Us:

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our security team. This role is critical in protecting our systems and data from cyber threats ensuring the integrity confidentiality and availability of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Threat Monitoring and Analysis: Continuously monitor networks systems and applications for security breaches anomalies and unauthorized activities using SIEM tools and other security monitoring solutions.
  • Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents including identifying root causes containing threats and mitigating damage while documenting findings and actions taken.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing identifying weaknesses in systems and networks and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Security Best Practices: Implement and enforce security policies standards and best practices across the organization working closely with IT teams to ensure compliance.
  • Security Tools Management: Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls IDS/IPS endpoint protection and encryption technologies ensuring they are properly configured and up to date.
  • Security Awareness: Provide training and guidance to employees on cybersecurity best practices helping to cultivate a culture of security awareness within the organization.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of security incidents vulnerabilities and response activities and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the company adheres to industry regulations and compliance requirements such as GDPR HIPAA or PCIDSS by conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams including network engineers system administrators and software developers to integrate security measures into all aspects of IT operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on threat detection incident response and vulnerability management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as Splunk QRadar Nessus Wireshark etc.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols security architectures and encryption technologies.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to security incidents.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP CEH CompTIA Security or equivalent are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud security particularly on platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR HIPAA or PCIDSS.
