Job Description

Director, Clinical Quality Management

Location: Southeastern Vermont

  • Salary range: $140K - $170K
  • Great benefit package

Our client is a nationally recognized specialty healthcare facility that provides a full range of diagnostic and treatment services to individuals of all ages.

Job summary:

This critical leadership role oversees the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive quality and patient safety programs. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record in driving quality improvement initiatives and fostering a culture of safety.

  • Serves as an internal subject matter expert and resource for clinical quality of care programs, policies, procedures and processes.
  • Responsible for the hospital’s compliance with accreditation, regulatory and governmental standards for all clinical areas.
  • Oversees the patient experience function and handling of patient grievances.
  • Serves as the management representative to the Quality and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee of the Board.
  • Participates in the organization-wide performance improvement projects program (PIPs).
  • Reports quality data, adverse events and clinical outcomes as requested or required by various internal and external parties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Masters preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and implementing clinical quality programs.
  • Knowledge in Peer Review, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Control Prevention, and Reporting.
  • Current understanding of Joint Commission, state-specific requirements, and CMS regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of QIO guidelines and processes.
  • RN strongly preferred.
  • Experience with clinical quality programs in a behavioral health department/organization is preferred.
  • Certified Professional Risk Management (CPHRM) or Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification within three years of hire.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, demonstrate critical thinking skills, and provide education and resources to the organization.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgement, initiative and a high standard of ethics.
