Job Description:

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct implementation and improve H+H behavioral health (BH) programs through: Detailed implementation planning and ongoing coordination of clinical, operational and fiscal quality improvement efforts for BH initiatives
  • Direct and develop behavioral health project plans, establishing cadence and strategies to support execution
  • Direct allocation of staffing resources and responsibilities for OBH strategic priorities
  • Identify and target areas in which OBH can improve functionally, including in the following areas: clinically, operationally, fiscally, via data/reporting, and within the EMR
  • Assist in the development and execution of OBH strategic plans
  • Facilitation of interdisciplinary workgroup meetings with H+H BH and hospital leadership and/or external stakeholders focused on the implementation and optimization of BH initiatives
  • Implementation and optimization of BH dashboards, workflows, electronic medical record (EMR) clinical documentation tools and reports to inform quality improvement (QI) and satisfy grant funding deliverables
  • Development of H+H BH policies and procedures in adherence with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Provide ongoing supervision and support to direct reports and student interns as assigned
  • Liaise with academic or other partners to conduct program research/evaluation
  • Lead systemwide behavioral health projects/initiatives to support optimal service delivery, including planning and implementation teams for critical projects as needed
  • Liaise with OBH Senior Leadership to identify operational gaps within OBH, developing a plan for improvement
  • Provide subject matter expertise to OBH managers around process improvement, organizational design, and management systems
  • Triage project, data, and reporting requests, scoping out, and recommending appropriate staffing resources to execute deliverable(s)
  • Project manager to OBH budget re-alignment, optimizing office-wide revenue/fiscal reporting and budget workflows
  • Contribution to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations on BH interventions, highlighting outcomes and informing best practices for future programming

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A Masters Degree in Public Administration, Public Health, Health Care Specialization, Social Work, Psychology or a related field; and,

Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in hospital or regulatory agency administration, with particular emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services, or,

2. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.

Department Preferences

  • Masters of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC),
  • Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
  • 12 years of experience in the human services field
  • 9 years of experience at management/administrative level

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Requirements:

  • Hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations. Knowledge of principles of business and personnel administration, management functions and support service functions
