About the job Litigation Legal Secretary- Employment Law Our client, a leading Employment firm, with a phenomenal reputation is seeking an additional Secretary to support some incoming lawyers. This person will add to an established group of staff who pride themselves on supporting one another! If you're considering a change or just want to explore what else is out there, this one is not to miss! Compensation is commensurate with experience and ranges form $80,000 - $99,000. Litigation Legal Secretary- Employment Law Responsibilities include : Prepare and format legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and correspondence. Process new client/matter requests. File legal documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and through traditional means. Proofread all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness before distribution or filing. Update and maintain client files, including electronic management systems. Manage attorney calendars, scheduling appointments and tracking due dates. Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and make arrangements for meals, refreshments, and equipment. Arrange travel arrangements for assigned attorneys. Enter, review, and revise timekeeper time entries, ensuring consistent identification of litigation codes. Prepare expense reimbursement requests for attorneys promptly and accurately. Review vendor invoices for accuracy and prepare check requests for timely payment. Provide assistance to visitors, paralegals, and attorneys in the absence of their secretaries. Handle overflow work from other secretaries as needed.
