Job Description

• 12+ month Contract
• Contract Rate: $25/hr on W2
• 100% onsite in downtown Dallas
• Shift: Wednesday-Sunday, 8am-4pm; first 3 months is M-F, 8am-4pm for training

Summary:

The Telecom Network Operator is the technical expert on multiple telecommunication protocols and is responsible for ensuring that the network is performing to optimum capacity. Responsibilities include:

• Providing primary support for at least one major system (microwave, two-way radio, wireless LAN, etc.) and secondary support on multiple minor systems
• Planning and implementing changes to the Transport network to ensure adherence to all Change Management policies and procedures
• Coordinating all planned outages
• Performing end-to-end analysis on the transport network through a capacity/availability/response time analysis
• Updating system and procedures documentation for all network hardware on the document database
• Conducting trend analysis and capacity analysis to anticipate changes in the business environment and take appropriate action.
• FAA tower lighting notifications
• Assisting in the training of new candidates
• Adhering to safe work practices to support the goal of no reportable accidents within IT

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Video Monitoring and Access Control systems
• Familiar with telecommunications network design and architecture
• Strive to resolve all issues and to identify the root cause of every problem
• On call and shift work– 24x7 operation and all personnel will be on call in the event of a problem
• Keep abreast of technology changes, evaluating and recommending network components and developing documentation and installation standards for these components
