GENERAL SUMMARY

This Office Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining work areas, offices, and buildings clean and orderly by using janitorial supplies, removing waste, and performing special cleaning projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming
• Buffing, waxing, stripping floors
• General cleaning and dusting in an office setting
• Maintenance of janitor closets
• Emptying trash baskets
• Cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monthly order list for supplies needed
• Routine maintenance duties as assigned

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in janitorial and office cleaning preferred
• Proven track record of reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Social/Environmental Requirements:

• Must be able to work independently as needed
• Ability to maintain attendance and punctuality expectations
• Hot/cold working conditions

Sensory Requirements

• Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

Physical Requirements

• Medium/Heavy physical work; occasionally exerting force/pushing/lifting/carrying of items up to up to 50 lbs., reaching above and below shoulder height
• Frequently walking, standing, twisting and bending
• Power grasping/manipulation/pushing/pulling with one hand/both hands
• Light/moderate keyboard use
• Frequent endurance with up to 5-6 hours without a break
• Travel between buildings required preferable by car
