Job Description:

As a Medical Spanish Interpreter, you will provide accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation services between Spanish-speaking Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals and English-speaking professionals. This is a fully remote position, offering flexible hours and growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional over-the-phone interpretation for medical appointments, consultations, and emergencies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to medical interpreting protocols, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
• Stay calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

Requirements:

• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Medical Interpreting Experience: Minimum 1 year (preferred).
• Certification Requirements:
• 40-hour medical interpreting training certificate.
• HIPAA certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent from your home country.
• English proficiency certificate (EF SET preferred).
• Reliable home office setup:
• High-speed internet.
• Computer or smartphone with audio capabilities.
• Noise-canceling headset.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with medical terminology and protocols.
• Strong listening, memory, and note-taking skills.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
