Part-time Accountant - Tax Return Preparer Anna Mitchell Law is a Tax Controversy and Resolution Law Firm. We are looking for an in-house, part-time, accountant (must be able to make journal entries) and tax return preparer. You will spend a minimum of one day a week in office at Anna Mitchell Law, and one day a week at a related CPA firm, also in Bradenton. We're hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You’ll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient. Candidate must have experience with 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S return preparation. PTIN required. Responsibilities:

• Perform bookkeeping duties: Maintain data on financial statements
• Consistently input daily financial transactions and finalize the posting process
• Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time
• Prepare all financial statements and bank reconciliations
• Verify accuracy within day books and all ledgers
• Prepare and file tax returns

• Must have 2 or more years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a management accountant, bookkeeper, cost accountant or similar
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and basic accounting systems
• Must be well-versed in general accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Candidate must have experience with 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S return preparation. PTIN required.
