Job Description

Seeking a full-time, on-site Physical Therapist / Athlete Mechanic at Clutch Athletes in New York City.

What we’re offering is not just a job. We’re looking for an athlete/DPT with values, talent and manual skills that align with our mission to be the premier prehab, rehab and sports performance facility in NYC.

There’s so much more to be gained at Clutch than financial compensation and benefits.

But the real satisfaction from coming on board with us is our culture, priorities and opportunities.

You will absolutely grow and evolve as a practitioner under our experienced DPT mentors.

Your work will have real meaning. You will have the unique opportunity here to shape and directly impact the athletic lives of many young athletes.

We offer weekly round-table discussions on new research, treatment techniques, notes, etc.

WORK/LIFE BALANCE IS A TOP PRIORITY FOR ALL.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Doctorate of Physical Therapy
  • Athletic background
  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in sports/orthopedic PT, but recent graduates with a strong athletic background and references should still apply.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience, anticipated range is 85K - 115K + benefits, with an additional bonus structure starting at 80% utilization. 35 treatment hours per week. Yep, you read that correctly — we take care of our people.
  • 17 days PTO begins accruing immediately. 5 additional days after 5 years!
  • 6 paid holidays including: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
  • Health insurance is 100% covered for you, on an HMO plan. You are able to upgrade to higher coverage plans that are available, add vision or dental, and/or enroll other dependents in all of the plans at your cost.
  • $2,500 annual stipend for continuing education. Access to the entire Gray Institute course library is available at no cost to you. Since we have a Fellow on staff, you can do your mentorship hours right here if you choose to pursue a manual therapy fellowship.
  • You’re eligible to enter a SIMPLE retirement plan immediately. 4% match by Clutch.

BIG PICTURE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Take great pride in your work. We stake our reputation on getting athletes better, solving the root cause of their issue, and giving the highest caliber of care possible.
  • Build relationships and develop referral sources through regular interactions with doctors, their office staff, personal trainers, coaches, athletic clubs, run crews, youth sports leagues, etc. Outstanding communication and networking skills are a must here.
  • Participate in clinical staff education, meetings and improvement programs.
  • Stay current on trends and practices in therapeutic treatment and share them with clinical staff.
  • There’s no JV squad here; everyone is great at what they do.
  • Be a positive, passionate, reliable team player who loves what they do. There’s no hierarchy or room for ego here.
  • Bring ideas to the table, literally and figuratively. Flex those entrepreneurial muscles.
  • Work hard, play hard. Pursue your own athletic endeavors. Share those racing and training experiences with your patients. We want them to know you push yourself as hard as they do. Clutch will pay the entry fee for any races/competitions you participate in.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans appropriate for patient functional limitations. We pride ourselves on using full body and movement assessment to pinpoint the root cause of dysfunction, relieve the patient’s pain, and develop a plan to prevent it from recurring.
  • Skillfully apply manual therapy and other appropriate therapeutic techniques to address patient treatment needs.
  • Advise patients on activities, treatments and other opportunities to accelerate recovery and support ongoing wellness in a way that’s both emphatic but empathetic. Focus on what they can do and not just what they cannot. Always have patients leave feeling hopeful.
  • Help patients become their own advocates for their recovery and not to rely solely on you.
  • Develop trusted relationships with doctors/referral sources through consistent outreach and by providing regular patient progress reports.
  • Help ensure well-run clinical operations by learning and following our procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with current and former patients.
  • Complete and submit necessary documentation for each patient within 24 hours.
  • Support the growth and visibility of the Clutch brand.
  • Participate in our events, workouts and workshops.
  • We will encourage you to seek additional certifications and continuing education. Whatever sets your soul on fire — we want you to do here.

HOW TO APPLY:
