Key Responsibilities

1. Innovative Quality Control: Design and implement cutting-edge techniques, processes, and procedures to maintain and enhance quality standards, meeting the expectations of JV partners and future customers.
2. Proactive Scrap Reduction: Develop a forward-thinking program to minimize scrap occurrences, identifying trends and solutions before new markets and products are launched.
3. ISO Certification Leadership: Spearhead the   ISO-9001:2008 program, ensuring swift certification and ongoing compliance, while aligning with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, NCA-3800.
4. Quality Systems Compliance: Oversee the implementation of government-mandated and key customer quality systems, preparing for and excelling in periodic qualification audits.
5. Comprehensive Quality Management: Manage order reviews, product assessments, and order changes, maintaining plant-wide quality programs including Quality Council and employee training.
6. Vendor Quality Assurance: Direct and control vendor audits and their quality programs, including internal audits to ensure compliance.
7. Subcontractor Evaluation: Conduct thorough research, development, and capability evaluations and qualifications for subcontractors.
8. Customer Support: Aid the sales team with product-related quality and compliance issues, developing Material Process Plans as required.
9. Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to reduce process variability and the total cost of poor quality, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
10. Certified Test Reports: Create and manage certified test reports to ensure accurate documentation and compliance.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: At least 7+ years in quality supervision with a proven track record in ISO, QSC, or similar quality systems. Minimum 5+ years in an industrial or heavy manufacturing quality environment, preferably in the metals industry.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license if driving is required for the role.
• FORGING EXPERIENCE HIGHLY PREFERRED
