With direct oversight and guidance of Corporate Global Security, you will provide security leadership and program management for Hill’s sites globally. Additionally, you will align, standardize, and provide all coordination between third party security providers and their subcontractors and liaise with local law-enforcement. You will follow up, and coordinate technical and physical security projects to ensure projects are completed in accordance with global security standards and with the needs of each location; provide in-house expertise on security programs and issues in real time; as well as provide active training for personnel and guards. You will also have the opportunity to provide oversight and planning for, as needed, personnel protection and special event security.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee implementation of approved Global Security programs for all Hill’s business and manufacturing operations, and confirm the effectiveness for these initiatives and strategies. These initiatives include but are not limited to facilities protection, investigations, supply chain security, brand protection/anti-counterfeit, workplace security, travel security, personal security, coordinating executive and event security.
- Directs the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive security program to include direct responsibility and oversight of Hill’s corporate office which includes security guard operations, access control procedures, alarm and CCTV systems, Badging/ ID systems for employees/vendors/visitors, headquarters emergency response planning, and executive protection, and provide direct oversight of onsite third party security team, as well engage directly with Overland Park campus safety and security personnel on issues impacting Hill’s operations and personnel.
- Maintain consistent communications and flow of information with all security stakeholders in your area of responsibility.
- Develop strategies to counter risks and gain buy-in and support from appropriate management.
- Identify, develop, implement, and maintain security processes, practices, and policies throughout the area of your responsibility to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of assets, physical, personal and reputation risk.
- Incorporate approved security standards and guidelines into projects to include construction, renovation and production related projects.
- Direct the policy and procedure related to the management of identifying, assessing and addressing all potential loss exposures due to theft, vandalism, sabotage, or other identified unauthorized or illegal activities within North America.
- Provide direct support, for investigations and surveys, for all North America facilities. This also includes electronic-countermeasures, event security, and special projects.
- Act as an investigative liaison and as a criminal investigation subject matter expert to Ethics and Compliance and Brand Protection. Provide expert advice and leadership on cases of mutual interest.
- Oversee processing and chain of custody for suspect product/potential product tampering.
- Ensure conformity of current and planned security operations with approved security standards.
- Provide technical support coordination, in conjunction with GS Technical Security Specialist, to Hill’s management teams and relevant company departments for the selection of security service providers and execution of security related contracts.
- Incorporate lessons learned from previous crises into security and evacuation plans.
- Build relationships with regional peers and leaders across the consumer products industry. Benchmark with partners and peers in the industry and share best practices.
- Maintain strong communication and support links with appropriate federal and local Law Enforcement and emergency services, and regulatory agencies across the U.S.
- Manage the Global Security Workplace Violence Prevention Program for all Hill’s locations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of leadership and operational expertise derived from public or private sector employment, preferably with experience in leading, managing and developing, and implementing enterprise wide security and safety programs
- Ability to problem solve in real-time and to coordinate preparedness plans in crisis situations for the facility and the division
- Security risk management and threat analysis skills and demonstrated skill in writing and review of security procedures and plans required
- Must have strong computer skills with competence with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Additional Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Security Management (CPP) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) strongly preferred
- In-depth experience in Supply Chain security preferred
- Strong cultural awareness required and experience working in a multinational workplace preferred
- Strong project management experience and attention to detail required
- Strong interpersonal skills - Customer-service oriented security leader who excels at collaborating with diverse groups in dynamic settings required
- Working knowledge of established corporate security practices and delivery of services within a business environment
- Strong functional skills in design and implementation of physical security programs and associated equipment/hardware, to include: access control systems, CCTV systems, alarm systems, communications systems, fire alarm systems, and uniform guard service operations and management
- Understanding of emergency management and life safety policy
- Strong understanding of business risk analysis and prioritizing according to business needs
- Experience in Crisis Management planning and training
- Experience in performing sensitive investigations, both civil and criminal, in a corporate environment
- Develop and gather intelligence related to internal and external threats to organizational operations and events
- Brief executive leadership, governance Board committees and oversight groups
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $115 200,00 - $130 400,00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
- Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
- Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
- Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
- Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
- Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
- Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
