Position : SALESFORCE CLOUD DEVELOPER

FLSA Status : Full-time exempt

Period of Performance : August 2024 - February 2025

Location: Remote

Essential Functions:

  • Supports Salesforce implementation efforts and provides overall guidance to more junior team members.
  • Leverage both configuration-based approaches as well as custom development (e.g., APEX/VisualForce) to deliver solutions. Develops technical plans, approaches, and related system documentation.
  • Optimizes across Salesforce ecosystem and technical expertise in multiple Salesforce products (e.g., ServiceCloud, Communities).
  • Produces work consistent with Federal security standards (e.g., FISMA), development guidelines (e.g., Digital Service Playbook) and other relevant agency requirements.
  • Meets engineering, design, and coding deliverable deadlines throughout project lifecycle.
  • Performs unit, side effect and system testing of solutions where necessary.
  • Follows Agile IT methodologies.
Requirements:

Required Education and Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited US college or university- Required
  • US Citizen - Required
  • Experience with MuleSoft -Required
  • Minimum 3 years Salesforce Developer Experience

Salesforce Platform Proficiency:

  • Apex: Strong knowledge and experience in Apex programming, including triggers, controllers, and batch processing.
  • Visualforce: Experience in building custom user interfaces using Visualforce.
  • Lightning Components: Proficiency in developing Lightning web components (LWC) and Aura components.
  • Salesforce APIs: Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming) for integration purposes

Customization and Configuration:

  • Declarative Tools: Expertise in using Salesforce declarative tools such as Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules.
  • Security and Access Management: Understanding of Salesforce security features, including roles, profiles, sharing rules, and permission sets.

Integration and Middleware:

  • Middleware Platforms: Experience with integration middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft)
  • External Services Integration: Knowledge of integrating Salesforce with external services and systems (ERP, marketing automation, etc.).

Problem Solving and Debugging:

  • Debugging and Performance Tuning: Strong skills in debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of Salesforce applications.
  • Error Handling: Knowledge of best practices for error handling in Salesforce.

Soft Skills and Collaboration:

  • Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Collaboration Tools: Proficiency with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Slack.
  • Including these technical skills in the position description will help ensure that candidates have the necessary expertise to effectively develop and maintain Salesforce solutions, while also collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders. Analytical mind with ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with the customer and the HUD team.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with MuleSoft -Required
  • Proficiency using all Microsoft Office 365 applications including: Skype/Teams Conferencing, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and printer/scanner.
