Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Art Director to join our Marketing team and play an integral part in shaping and curating our brands. The Sr. Art Director will be responsible for concepting, creating and seeing through launch campaigns assets, social photoshoots + social creative planning, and packaging initiatives. The selected candidate will lead a high-performing design team while implementing design solutions & processes to meet the growing demands of the business. The Sr. Art Director will work to help bring the brands to life at all customer touchpoints. Responsibilities to include:
- Maintain and advance the company's visual brands, by enforcing brand guidelines across departments and continuously explore new ways to enhance those guidelines
- Manage, mentor and direct graphic designers & 3D/motion designers by providing direction, overseeing workflow and guiding professional development
- Taking responsibility for finished projects
- Manage the quality and approve design for a range of creative work from website, social, new emerging platforms, campaign launches, packaging, ISM and global sites
- Design and produce the following, in a wide variety of styles for online and offline media: banners, email, mobile, print & digital brochures, POS, packaging, ISM, influencer kits, etc.
- Responsible for designs that are on strategy and reflect the brands personality while ensuring brand consistency across all channels
- Monitor projects through all phases of production including; concepting, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Presentation and release
- Act as the link between cross-functional groups- brand teams, product development, packaging engineering, sourcing, while working together to troubleshoot any printing quality issues
- Adhere design and projects to budgets and time constraints
- Concept big ideas in line with brand objectives and present ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Guide and manage all aspects of the artistic and conceptual development of marketing and promotional materials, including but not limited to brand identity, print, and digital collateral, campaigns, photography, web sites, environmental design and interactive design
- Stay current on all trends and the latest technological advances
- Manage and oversee outside creative/production agencies for large campaign initiatives
- Concept, manage and oversee monthly product photoshoots
- Partner with Talent Acquisition team to build a high-performing design team
- Other projects as assigned
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in design or related field
- 8-10+ years of graphic design experience and 5+ years of managerial experience, preferably within a marketing or creative agency
- Outstanding leadership and management skills to effectively direct and guide the creative team from beginning phase to delivery
- Passion for storytelling, point of view and immersion in the work
- Solid design skills in print, web/digital, multi-page collateral, multimedia and video
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to drive results through strategic creative solutions
- Detail driven and excellent time management skills
- Ability to confidently present design + concepts confidently to leadership + peers
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, negotiate timing, utilize resources, identify and address project needs, meet deadlines and stay within budget
- Outstanding knowledge of Macintosh Operating System
- Extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite 5.5+, especially the following:
- InDesign : Must be at expert level and know major points of application when applied to Print
- Photoshop: Must be at expert level and know major points of application when applied to Print and Digital. Must be familiar with using applications for digital productivity, including Smart Objects, Layer Comps and Applying Effects (Having Retouching capabilities a plus+)
- Illustrator: Must be at expert level and know major points of application when applied to Print and Digital
- Experience/proficiency in CSS, HTML, Wordpress is ideal but not necessary
- Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro are a plus
Who You Will Work With
As the Sr. Art Director, you will work closely with Marketing Activation & Strategy, Brand Management, Sales & Sales Planning, and Product Development teams
