Senior Product Specification Specialist (Fully Remote)

Job Overview

As a Senior Product Specification Specialist, you will generate 2-D and 3-D drawings and renderings, as well as BOMs for various furniture projects and opportunities. You will collaborate with furniture dealers and sales representatives, helping to determine criteria required to complete the job and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

- Generate 2-D and 3-D drawings for furniture projects and opportunities of various sizes.
- Manage changes and revisions related to projects.
- Specify all product lines and have a good understanding of product codes.
- Collaborate with the team to recommend design solutions, provide value engineering, and overall design.
- Maintain strong knowledge of features and benefits of existing and new product lines.
- Communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
- Multi-task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Complete assignments in a timely manner with a proactive and self-starter approach.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Understand corporate, healthcare, and education furniture specifications.
- Work well in a team environment and independently.
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or six to ten years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced modeling skills in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of 2020 CAP and Worksheet.
- Moderate to advanced CET Configura competencies.
- Advanced knowledge of product codes and product application.
- Advanced knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
- Can multi-task and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Proven track record of completing assignments in a timely manner with a proactive and self-starter approach.
- Understanding of corporate, healthcare, and education furniture specifications.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
