SUMMARY
Responsible for various tax returns on behalf of the Enterprise. Manage fixed assets for tax purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for Enterprise. Maintain proper documentation and research sales and use tax issues as applicable.
• Prepare and file property tax for the Enterprise.
• Prepare and file motor fuel tax returns.
• Prepare and file other miscellaneous taxes. These may include municipal tax, 911 fees, federal excise tax and franchise tax.
• Maintain the fixed asset account system for tax purposes. Review all entries made by the fixed asset management group relating to tax (federal, state, AMT, ACE, and property tax) on a monthly basis.
• Assist Tax Manager with compilation of income tax returns for company.
• Assist with other project work in the department as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• BS Degree in Accounting
• 1-2 years of entry level accounting experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word and research on the Internet. PeopleSoft asset management, OneSource Tax Products and FAS (Sage) depreciation experience a plus
