Makwa Global is a Minnesota based company formed to offer government agencies a new approach to Tribal Enterprise capabilities. We are hiring a Technical Writer that supports Army IT programs.

The appropriate candidate will produce professional technical and contractual documentation across the program. This position supports Army IT programs, reviewing IT technical update announcements for grammatical accuracy and clarity, formatting information in required templates. This person will work in a team environment, and will receive guidance from the team lead and manager on site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office® 2007 or higher editions, Power User of all Microsoft applications.
• DoD and DA technical documentation development, parlance, and regulatory guidance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, interpersonal relationship skills, demonstrate the ability to communicate verbally and in writing,
• Validate sources referenced within the document and identify missing or misleading information in source documents to the technical leads.
• Review all submitted documents checking for adherence to the guidance documentation such as: Government Printing Office style manual 2008, AR 25-50 and DA Pamphlet 600-67, and NETCOM PAM 25-52.
• Ensure documents are in the correct format, are grammatically correct.
• Ensure the document has no incomprehensible statements caused by missing material and are internally consistent.
• Validate sources referenced within the document and identify missing or misleading information in source documents to the technical leads.
• Assist the Government with coordinating the finalized documentation through the signatory process.
• Maintain electronic repository of document control, tracking/staffing control, modifications, and trend analysis.
• Track routing, signature approval process and workflow of assigned documents to assist the Government in ensuring documents meet project schedule timelines.
• Consult with authors regarding document content, readability and consistency and validate sources referenced within the document.
• Develop and provide a monthly workload report to the COR detailing matrix support, document count and functional areas of support. Also, a copy of all completed documents should be forwarded to the COR for review and acceptance.
• All other duties deemed necessary by Makwa Leadership.

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality documentation on time.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, customer-focused environment.
• Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
