Job Title: Test Automation Engineer (Two Openings)

Location: Washington, DC

Note:

• Candidates with previous government or federal experience are highly preferred, but this is not mandatory.
• Local candidates from the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area are preferred.

Position Overview:

We are seeking two Test Automation Engineers to support our Website modernization project and the SmarTrip 2.0 application development.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirement specifications and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
• Drive the adoption of best practices around design, build, test, and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to design, develop, and execute scripts that validate test cases defined in the project's test plan.
• Support automated functional testing across multiple messaging protocols, focusing on application flow and validation of test results.
• Track and communicate task progress, status, and key performance metrics.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with various teams to drive toward resolution.
• Communicate effectively with multiple teams and external vendors, including Operations, Project Teams, and Quality Service.
• Conduct troubleshooting and test execution to support remediation efforts.
• Analyze data and application changes, documenting their impact on performance automation tasks.
• Ensure test execution results meet defined test objectives.
• Configure appropriate testing and monitoring tools in alignment with project requirements.
• Maintain technical expertise through self-education in computer science, test automation, and Quality Assurance.
• Interface with DevOps and Infrastructure teams regarding functional test environments.
• Provide timely and accurate communication of testing events, daily status, and test execution results.
• Successfully complete mandatory security awareness training annually.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts addressing business and technical use cases.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with programming frameworks, tools, databases, and development platforms, including C#, .NET, and SQL or Oracle.
• 6+ years of experience in test automation development using Selenium and JavaScript.
• 5+ years of demonstrated functional testing experience, including test analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
